Volunteer Programme 2024โ€“25

This isn't just
volunteering.

SOUND volunteers build the infrastructure that connects neurodivergent individuals, families, and loved ones to verified specialists. The directory spans neurodevelopmental conditions, learning differences, genetic syndromes, neurological conditions, sensory processing differences, and psychiatric conditions with neurodivergent overlap โ€” 30+ presentations across the full spectrum.

Three kinds of work. All of it meaningful.

Pick what fits your schedule and city. You can do one or all three.

~2 hrs/week
Research

Find & verify professionals

Search for licensed specialists in your city using public professional directories. Check their credentials, note their specialty and contact details, and log your findings. We verify everything โ€” you just need to look carefully.

~1 visit/month
Observation

Document environmental accessibility

Visit shortlisted clinics or video-call professionals. Work through our structured checklist โ€” visual environment, acoustic parameters, physical accessibility, intake workflow. Submit your report. This is an administrative infrastructure review โ€” not a clinical evaluation.

Whenever you can
Outreach

Spread the word

Share SOUND with parent groups, WhatsApp communities, and support networks. Help people find us before they give up searching. This one takes no training โ€” just genuine care.

Structured observation skills over clinical credentials.

You don't need a medical background. SOUND volunteers help with research, checklists, and community outreach โ€” not diagnosis or therapy. What we need is someone who shows up consistently, cares genuinely, and can follow a structured process with attention to detail.
